Bophut market cafe

I stumbled upon this place completely by chance and was lucky to meet the owner, Paul, who is an incredibly friendly and welcoming man. As a Norwegian visiting the island for several weeks, this spot quickly became one of my favorites. The food was excellent, and I especially recommend the steak — it was outstanding value for money. The atmosphere was cozy and genuine, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend if you want great food and a warm welcome

An enormous amount to choose from, including Thai, Chinese and Asian dishes as well as fresh fruit and fish market-style at the back. Options range from healthy salads to not-so-healthy delicious fried things. Open seating and incredibly cheap pricing (*especially* for Koh Samui)!

Bophut Market Cafe serves the best fish and chips I've ever had in Samui, by a long way. Real English style. Really really delicious. The owner / chef has connections with the north of England. Service excellent. Very highly recommended.

I've been eating here quite regularly for the past couple of months. The Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas is really good value for money! My personal favorite meal is the Pan Fried Sea Bass, Chips and Salad. Staff at this restaurant are friendly and Bophut Market has a friendly atmosphere overall. Highly recommended. The food here is delicious and very affordable. Paul is an amazing person who truly made my stay here much easier and more enjoyable. I come here every single day — this place has become my top choice for meals!

What a gem of a place for people looking for traditional English food, the owner Paul is a delightful guy and all his staff are so accommodating, my wife and I have almost had the chance to go through there whole menu, good job we were here for 5 weeks and couldn’t fault a single meal. Well done all keep up the brilliant service you provide.

What a little hidden gem, if you're in BoPhut (every day but Sunday) or in fact anywhere on Koh Samui and are craving authentic BRITISH/WESTERN food, without paying ridiculous prices, then a trip to The Market Cafe will more than satisfy your craving! Paul and Ning with their team have a great place in the centre of BoPhut Food Market. The food is freshly made and Paul's homemade pies and puddings are to die for! We ate there 5 times (at least) they serve homemade PROPER chips and Paul makes all the pies and puddings from scratch! We had..... Steak and Chips twice Lasagne Fish and chips and real MUSHY PEAS Lamb Kebab Homemade Burger and Fries Pudding and chips and gravy Almost all dishes come with a great fresh salad and the beers sold aren't overpriced either. Most of all Paul, Ning and their team are just the most friendly people you can meet. So if you're looking for amazing food at great prices, hop on your bike and go try some homemade authentic British Food! It is definitely worth it (even if you're in Lamai)
